“Fueled by You”
Indiana University has partnered with Microsoft 365 to bring new innovative programs to students and faculty, but they struggle weening users off Google Suite. The realization that the consumer is a participant in the effectiveness of M365 was crucial to the “Fueled by You” campaign. The key to using 365 successfully is participation; If your team doesn’t participate, the team doesn't work.
Posters. With a series of cohesive posters, Microsoft at Indiana University will invite students to envision themselves as professionals of the future. Each poster highlights a certain application, communicating the features included that make every user a participant of M365.
Bus Ad. Students are confused by the sudden switch away from Google Suite, so it is important Indiana University explains it was for the benefit of those students. IU wants students to accomplish anything after graduation, so bus riders are invited to checkout the applications that will get them there with a QR code.
Bus Wrap. Indiana University will maximize opportunity for consumer engagement with eye-catching bus wraps on buses operating throughout University campuses.
Digital Screen. To ensure students of all majors recognize their involvement in the adoption of M365 at Indiana University this digital screen will be on display in a variety of campus buildings. The screen will be utilized at the Union particularly to ensure prospective students see the tools they need to excel are available at IU.
Screen Saver. Simple screen savers will be displayed on computers in labs all across Indiana University campuses so that students cannot miss seeing the campaign as they login to the machines.
Scratch-Off Lottery Tickets. Indiana University wants to involve students in the campaign by creating scratch-off tickets that reveal various applications included in M365. By allowing students to experience success through a lottery, we hope they associate M365 with success in their futures too.
Jumbotron Launch. Sports, especially basketball, bring many Hoosiers together, making a Jumbotron experience the perfect way to increase awareness of M365. Microsoft at IU will capture attention with humorous assumptions of what fuels fans, other than M365 of course.
Event Stand. Microsoft at Indiana University will host a networking coffee table where students can fuel up on more than just M365. They can come to grab caffeine, M365 merch and learn from the professionals that rely on M365 everyday
Merch. By using hats, popcorn buckets and reusable mugs, Microsoft at IU can transform consumers into brand ambassadors and ensure the campaign lasts longer around campus and beyond.
Instagram Stories. The University Information Technology Services will share these IG stories with students who follow the account and utilized sponsored stories to target IU students that do not follow the UITS account. This will expand the campaign to the social media sites students are most commonly on, making it easy for students to check out M365 with an option to swipe up.
Twitter Posts. UITS at Indiana University currently relies on Twitter posts to share information with students daily so a creating Twitter content was essential to this campaign. All captions utilize casual language common throughout Twitter and include a link for students to follow to learn more.
